More about Assignments
Most students succeed in ET-710 by completing assignments. The reverse is true, too. Students who fail just haven’t done the work.
It is beyond easy to get an A in this class. Just do the work. Besides, the work is fun and relaxing. And it could set you up for an interesting career if you so choose.
The trick is not to wait until the last minute to complete your work. Each assignment has an assignment date and a due date. Most assignments are due by the day after Lab class. So it's important to complete your work during Lab. Check your grade sheets to find out what’s due when. Or, look at the Master Grade Sheet.
Each assignment has a number associated with it (e.g., A1 or A2). All the assignments will be listed on the right side nav bar on this page. Each of them will match up to assignments listed on the Master Grade Sheet. This number corresponds to the number on your grade sheet. In addition, each assignment has a “weight” that determines how much it will figure into your final grade. The total of all “weights” for the semester will be 100.
What does this mean?
Each 1 point assignment you miss results in 1 point off your final grade. Believe me, they add up. You all start with A’s, and then work your way down... or stay with your A.
If you are absent, you must make up work you missed.
This year, I'm rewarding students who
- Maintain a 95 average (easy)
- Submit all assignments on time
- Have perfect attendance
Assignments are due on Lab Day (Thursday) - unless otherwise noted.
