Week 4 Assignments

Publishing your work: what do you want your site to look like?

A11 - Writing Intensive Homepage

Create a separate Writing Intensive (WI) page (this is called a landing page). Link it back to your projects homepage. Then for each Writing Intensive piece (e.g., your email to a friend describing the class), create a separate page, linking back to the WI homepage.

A12 - Procedure: how to publish a website

Create a page that gives instructions how to publish your website. You can use screenshots or whatever else you need to explain how this process is done. The goal is to give a step-by-step procedure to explain to someone how they would upload via FTP his or her website to the nystromco.com domain. Start at creating a new web page. What do you do to make sure your site is updated. Link the page to your projects homepage.

A13 -  My First CSS page

Create a page named “My First CSS page.html” — Paste 9 paragraphs of Lorem Ipsum (www.lipsum.com).  Create 9 styles (classes) to assign each to the 9 paragraphs. (We called it "My First CSS page - take 4")

A14 - Advertisement for ET-710

Writing Intensive: Make up an advertisement for ET-710. What appeal can you think of to get people to want to sign up for the class. Try to put yourself in the shoes of someone else who’s not sure if they want to take the class. Advertisements generally speak directly to the reader (as in: “You’re going to love this class. Here’s why…”).

Make sure you have a good "catch phrase."
