Marissa Henry

My name is Marissa Henry. I am currently a junior attending Bayside High School. Personally, I enjoy crocheting, drawing (both traditional and digital art), and painting. I also love baking, and I consider myself an ambivert—I enjoy spending time at home, but I also like going out and hanging out with my friends. I was born in Guyana and have two brothers, making me the only girl in my family.

I am interested to learn more about coding even though it is not exactly what I want to major in. I want to major in digital arts and design. My dream career is to work with animators or artists to help with projects such as movies, video games, and advertisements.

Besides my artistic interests, I enjoy exploring new creative outlets and learning new skills. Whether it's experimenting with different art techniques or trying out new baking recipes, I love the process of creating something from scratch. I also have an appreciation for storytelling, which is why I find animation and game design so captivating. Watching how art can tell compelling narratives inspires me.

In the future, I hope to attend a college that allows me to refine my digital art skills while also giving me opportunities to network with professionals in the industry. I am still looking into colleges that suit my interests. I know that breaking into the animation or design field can be challenging, but I am determined to work hard and get where I want to be.
